 Leon Swimming Pool
Swimming Pool: 25m in length and the deep end is 3m deep.
The swimming pool provides fun, entertainment and education to adults, children, beginners and advanced swimmers.
Bletchley and District and the Carlton Swim Club provide almost all of the sessions here at Leon. Leon is an ASA approved centre and also a NPLQ approved training centre.
For Adults:
Here at Leon you can learn to swim with others of your ability and progress at your own speed.
- If you can already swim you can come down and improve your stroke.
- Or, why not come down and learn to scuba dive every other weekend. (Also for children)
For Children:
- Competitive swimming is available as well, train here to go and beat your opposition.
- Learn lifesaving skills in and out of the pool to develop and become an all round good swimmer.

 Leon Fitness Centre
Leon fitness suite offers a unique experience with all the benefits of a large gym plus the personal touch that only a small gym can offer. We also have a refreshing approach to gym membership – no long term contracts to sign! When you join you will be introduced to the equipment and offered as much advice on reaching your goals as you want and our fully qualified gym instructors are always on hand to help.
We have a mixture of both cardiovascular and resistance machines coupled with free weights to give you everything you require for the full body workout. If you do get bored of the same routine then you can join in with one of the fitness classes that we will be offering shortly.

Sports Pitches and Indoor Facilities
Full size astro-turf
This spectacular, all-weather pitch offers an area for many sports to be played, come rain or shine. It is more popularly used for football, but has been successfully used for hockey, rounders and kwik cricket. It has the same dimensions as a full size football pitch, but can also be separated into thirds, allowing three 5-a-side games to be played simultaneously. It is also, regularly, a host to community coaching football courses. With a variety of different sized goals to chose from and a 3 metre high perimeter fence to keep the play enclosed, it makes this facility very popular and versatile.
Indoor sports hall
This multi-sports facility can accommodate football, netball, badminton, basketball or cricket practise. The hall comfortably fits a 5-a-side football pitch and provides all equipment and line markings for all the sports listed above. There’s no need to stop the exercise, even if the sun has stopped shining. With so many different sports available, this sports hall is ideal on those wet winter evenings.
Indoor gymnasium
This is an alternative area to our sports hall and is very popular with the clubs of alternative sports. Trampolining, tae kwondo, gymnastics and cheer leading are just a few clubs to have taken advantage of this versatile facility. With its high ceiling and sprung floor, it’s clear why so many sporting organisations continue to use our gymnasium.
Grass football pitches
Our 7 different sized pitches ensure local football clubs compete, week in, week out in Buckinghamshire’s football leagues. Ranging from full-size adult pitches (110mx70m) down to under 9’s pitches (60mx40m). These pitches are cut and marked regularly with top quality posts and nets also provided. All this makes these pitches ideal to hire for a one-off game or for the whole football season. |
